The principle of operation of an AVM drum-type dryer is that the heat generator produces the energy necessary for evaporation of moisture, which is supplied to the wet biomass. The heat generator is designed for drying biomass in a gentle manner to preserve all the useful components and effective dehumidification. The fuel used is liquefied propane gas. The heat generator is equipped with a gas burner with a capacity of 1 megawatt / hour of thermal energy, which allows to warm up the air necessary for dehumidification.
Further, the heated dry air is fed by a fan into the drying chamber, the device of which allows the most efficient distribution of air flow and thereby evaporates the necessary moisture with minimal heat loss. Humid air at the outlet passes through a cyclone, where the dried material settles, and then through the chimney into the atmosphere.
The design of the drum is designed in such a way that the raw material in the drying process passes through three contours, as shown in the diagram, which allows rational use of thermal energy and with a sufficiently compact size – ensures an effective process of drying biomass.
Precise adjustment of the air flow allows the biomass of any fraction to be precipitated in a cyclone. The volume of the cyclone is designed so that even the smallest fractions are deposited in a cyclone without loss.
For precise adjustment of the parameters of the drying biomass, frequency converters are used for such processes as air flow rate, rotation speed of the drying drum, portion of the supply of raw materials to the drying complex. These modifications allow to achieve the required performance without loss of useful components.

The site for the installation of the equipment must be at least 17 meters (56 foot) in length and 4 meters (14 foot) in width.
To ensure uninterrupted operation of the equipment, the line is completed with a Kipor KDE100SSP3 diesel generator or similar.
Kipor KDE100SSP3 is capable of supplying 3-phase current to remote construction crews, timber harvesting and primary processing enterprises; mines, quarries and other objects of the mining industry. This container power plant with a rated power of 80 kW is characterized by a high degree of protection against external influences and economical fuel consumption. Diesel generator Kipor KDE100SSP3 is protected from overheating with a low oil level; equipped with water cooling and under rated load it can work autonomously for 10 hours without refueling. The capacity of the fuel tank is 286 liters.
Installation of equipment at the customer site takes 2-3 days.
For the installation of equipment, lifting equipment with a lifting capacity of 3 tons, power tools (welding machine, perforator, angle grinder, hand tools) are needed.
